No apologies, won’t resign from Party either, Ahlaan says

Following the disciplinary action taken against Seenu Feydho MP Ahmed Fahmy by the Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP), Alhaan has shot back saying that he will not issue an apology and will not resign from the Party either.

The DRP’s disciplinary committee had on 27 December, 2009, decided to suspend Alhaan for six months and ordered him to write an open apology letter to the DRP members.

Alhan had faced the disciplinary action for refusing to abide by the Party’s decision during the no-confidence motion taken against Foreign Minister Dr Ahmed Shaheed.
